No such declaration has been made. Schools remain closed at this time.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1 node\">\n<div class=\"li\">The <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/WashingtonESD\/photos\/a.198714200253072\/1862447593879716\/?type=3&amp;theater\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/WashingtonESD\/photos\/a.198714200253072\/1862447593879716\/?type=3&amp;theater\" rel=\"nofollow\">Employment Security Department<\/a> of Washington State has publicized that systems are being updated to reflect CARES Act expansion of benefits by mid-April, at which point those eligible will receive retroactive payments for both the weekly benefit amount owed as well as the additional $600 per week.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Unemployment benefits will be paid from the time people separated from their job or otherwise became eligible under the CARES Act, not from the time the application was submitted or approved.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Information and updates can be found at <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/esd.wa.gov\" href=\"https:\/\/esd.wa.gov\" rel=\"nofollow\">esd.wa.gov<\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1 node\">\n<div class=\"li\">Some recipients of <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dshs.wa.gov\/os\/office-communications\/media-release\/dshs-receives-supplemental-funding-boost-benefits-basic-food-recipients\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dshs.wa.gov\/os\/office-communications\/media-release\/dshs-receives-supplemental-funding-boost-benefits-basic-food-recipients\" rel=\"nofollow\">Basic Food Assistance<\/a> will see an increase in their benefits through DSHS. Recipients will get the difference between their regular monthly benefit and the maximum amount for their household size. Households that already receive the maximum benefit amount will not see an increase.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Individuals who are just now applying for benefits in March and April will receive the maximum household benefit amount once their application is approved.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Benefits do not have to be paid back and do not affect any recipients\u2019 immigration status.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Emergency benefits for March will show up on EBT cards on April 4, and households who already received their regular April benefits on April 1st through 3rd will receive the April supplement on April 4. Those who receive their normal benefits on April 4-20 will receive the additional amount on the usual date they receive benefits.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Recipients can call the number on their EBT card to check the balance or access their client benefit account at <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonconnection.org\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonconnection.org\" rel=\"nofollow\">www.washingtonconnection.org<\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">The DSHS Customer Service Contact Center can be reached at 1-877-501-2233, but the department urges you to check for the latest COVID-19 benefits-related information on the agency Facebook and Twitter accounts or at <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/dshs.wa.gov\" href=\"https:\/\/dshs.wa.gov\" rel=\"nofollow\">dshs.wa.gov<\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1 node\">\n<div class=\"li\">The Washington Health Benefit Exchange is extending the current special enrollment period for individuals who are uninsured through May 8th.
