7.1MB)<\/p><p class=\"powerpress_links powerpress_subscribe_links\">Subscribe: <a href=\"https:\/\/daily.ktqa.org\/feed\/podcast\/\" class=\"powerpress_link_subscribe powerpress_link_subscribe_rss\" title=\"Subscribe via RSS\" rel=\"nofollow\">RSS<\/a><\/p><h1 id=\"state\">STATE<\/h1>\n<div class=\"level1\">\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">Due to the pandemic, the Department of Licensing is temporarily allowing even residents over age 70 to renew their driver license or ID card online at <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dol.wa.gov\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dol.wa.gov\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">dol.wa.gov<\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1 node\">\n<div class=\"li\">The governor issued <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/www.governor.wa.gov\/news-media\/inslee-issues-proclamation-establishing-higher-education-safety-guidelines\" href=\"https:\/\/www.governor.wa.gov\/news-media\/inslee-issues-proclamation-establishing-higher-education-safety-guidelines\" rel=\"nofollow\">further rules relating to institutions of higher education<\/a> to address significant increases in COVID-19 infections occurring on or near college campuses in places like fraternity and sorority houses, dorms, and student parties.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Sleeping porches where multiple residents spend the night are not allowed, and no more than two residents are allowed to share the same sleeping area<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">All people in common areas must wear masks and remain socially distanced.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Visitors are limited to five people from outside the same household, and common areas can have no more than five people in them at any given time.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Meals on campus must be served grab-and-go or at single tables.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Colleges and universities must also provide isolation and quarantine facilities to fraternity, sorority or other group houses, to students who live in shared housing in close proximity to campus, to students living in dorms, and to personnel if they don\u2019t have a place to go.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1 node\">\n<div class=\"li\">The last day to register online to vote in Washington is October 26th\u2013one week away.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Register, update your registration, find the status of your ballot, and more at <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/votewa.gov\" href=\"https:\/\/votewa.gov\" rel=\"nofollow\">https:\/\/votewa.gov<\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Local election information is available online at piercecountyelections.org or by calling 253-798-VOTE (253-798-8683)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">General information is also available online at <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/www.BetterKnowABallot.com\/WA\" href=\"https:\/\/www.BetterKnowABallot.com\/WA\" rel=\"nofollow\">betterknowaballot.com\/wa<\/a><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Call or look online if you haven&#8217;t received your ballot in the mail yet!<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h1 id=\"regional\">REGIONAL<\/h1>\n<div class=\"level1\">\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level1 node\">\n<div class=\"li\">The Greater Gig Harbor Foundation is offering 500 free meal kits weekly to any resident of the greater Gig Harbor area or Key Peninsula.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">The kits contain five pounds of cooked animal-based protein, seven to 10 pounds of fresh produce, a five-pound box of dairy products, including shredded cheese, liquid egg and butter, and a gallon jug of milk.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Go to <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/ZQRY65N\" href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/ZQRY65N\" rel=\"nofollow\">tinyurl.com\/kpmealkits<\/a> to register<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">Curtis High School will host a free drive-through flu vaccine clinic tomorrow, Thursday Oct 22 from 2:30 to 5:30pm.
