class=\"li\">The State insurance commissioner has once again <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/www.insurance.wa.gov\/news\/kreidler-extends-emergency-order-telehealth-30-days?utm_content=&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_name=&amp;utm_source=govdelivery&amp;utm_term=\" href=\"https:\/\/www.insurance.wa.gov\/news\/kreidler-extends-emergency-order-telehealth-30-days?utm_content=&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_name=&amp;utm_source=govdelivery&amp;utm_term=\" rel=\"nofollow\">extended orders<\/a> for insurance companies to waive patient copays, deductibles, and fees associated with COVID-19 testing or treatment, and to cover telehealth appointments.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">The extension runs through September 14th.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1 node\">\n<div class=\"li\">The governor has extended through September 14th an order that waives certain restrictions on truck diver hours.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">The order has been in effect since March 18th.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1 node\">\n<div class=\"li\">The State Health Department and the Institute for Disease Modeling have <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/coronavirus.wa.gov\/news\/new-report-examines-how-minimize-covid-19-risks-while-maximizing-educational-benefits\" href=\"https:\/\/coronavirus.wa.gov\/news\/new-report-examines-how-minimize-covid-19-risks-while-maximizing-educational-benefits\" rel=\"nofollow\">released a report<\/a> that offers further evidence of significant risks associated with the resumption of in-person instruction at k-12 schools in Washington.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">If schools were to resume full-time in-person instruction without public health countermeasures and current COVID-19 incidence in western Washington, around 17% of students and 24% of adult staff could be infectious with the disease while at school.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">With physical distancing, masking, hand-washing, and restricted small groupings of students, an estimated 4% percent of students and 5.5% of staff could still be infected by December 1st while community disease transmission remains high.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">The report calls for further work at greatly reducing coronavirus in the general community in order for it to be safe enough to resume in-person schooling.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Links to state paid leave programs will be able to receive supplemental emergency paid leave through the <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/www.governor.wa.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/proclamations\/proc_20-67.pdf?utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=govdelivery\" href=\"https:\/\/www.governor.wa.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/proclamations\/proc_20-67.pdf?utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=govdelivery\" rel=\"nofollow\">Washington COVID-19 Food Production Paid Leave Program<\/a>.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Further details are expected in the coming days from the state commerce department at <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/www.commerce.wa.gov\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commerce.wa.gov\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">commerce.wa.gov<\/a><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1 node\">\n<div class=\"li\">The state&#8217;s Emergency Management Division is warning that this weekend&#8217;s forecast is for very hot weather, and advises the public to stay hydrated, keep pets and children out of vehicles, and take cautions against accidentally starting wildfires.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Any cooling shelters that may open will need to abide by COVID safety guidelines and may take your temperature or ask questions about how you are feeling.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Local malls or large stores with air conditioning may be available for individuals seeking refuge from the heat, as long as masks can be worn and you can maintain 6-foot distancing.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h1 2020.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h1 id=\"pierce_county\">PIERCE COUNTY<\/h1>\n<div class=\"level1\">\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level1 node\">\n<div class=\"li\">The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department officer <a class=\"urlextern\" start to the school year<\/a> for <em>all<\/em> schools in the county, including private schools, <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/www.thenewstribune.com\/news\/local\/article244966350.html#storylink=cpy\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thenewstribune.com\/news\/local\/article244966350.html#storylink=cpy\" rel=\"nofollow\">until COVID-19 cases in the county decrease<\/a>.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">The department stresses that community members&#8217; diligent distancing and use of masks can help determine when children can return to in-person learning.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Per state guidelines, counties with more than 75 cases per 100,000 people have the option for \u201climited in-person learning in small groups,\u201d such as students with disabilities or students living homeless.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div
