State Department of Labor &amp; Industries has been <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/www.thenewstribune.com\/article243045666.html#storylink=cpy\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thenewstribune.com\/article243045666.html#storylink=cpy\" rel=\"nofollow\">granted authority<\/a> to close and\/or fine businesses and employers up to $10,000 for failure to comply with state-issued directives.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Businesses will be given the opportunity to voluntarily adjust practices or risk the fine and forced closure.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">In-person inspections by L&amp;I officials may accompany phone calls and written or electronic communication.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1 node\">\n<div class=\"li\">University of Washington researchers have found that <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/www.seattletimes.com\/seattle-news\/health\/half-of-newly-diagnosed-coronavirus-cases-in-washington-are-in-people-under-40\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.seattletimes.com\/seattle-news\/health\/half-of-newly-diagnosed-coronavirus-cases-in-washington-are-in-people-under-40\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">half of new coronavirus infections<\/a> in the state are now occurring in people under the age of 40, reflecting what health officials speculate are social trends where younger individuals are more heavily represented among essential workers, or might be less-carefully distancing themselves from others.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Officials stress that infected individuals can still pass the virus on to vulnerable individuals even without experiencing symptoms<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Herd immunity, where at least 70% of a population is infected and recovers, would only be achieved through a level of contagion that health officials say would overwhelm hospitals and result in high mortality.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1 node\">\n<div class=\"li\">A fourth child in Washington has been <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/www.thenewstribune.com\/news\/coronavirus\/article243041506.html#storylink=cpy\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thenewstribune.com\/news\/coronavirus\/article243041506.html#storylink=cpy\" rel=\"nofollow\">diagnosed and hospitalized<\/a> with a dangerous inflammatory syndrome linked to COVID-19.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Health officials advise that children diagnosed with the illness appear healthy before developing symptoms that can be life-threatening.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Parents and caretakers should watch children for extended fever or headache, abdominal pain, fatigue, and shortness of breath outdoors where they are unable to maintain 6 feet of space from others who aren&#8217;t from the same household.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1 node\">\n<div class=\"li\">While Major League Soccer has approved voluntary small-group training sessions, Seattle Sounders athletes <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/www.seattletimes.com\/sports\/sounders\/mls-clubs-can-begin-small-group-training-sessions-but-sounders-must-wait-under-local-restrictions\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.seattletimes.com\/sports\/sounders\/mls-clubs-can-begin-small-group-training-sessions-but-sounders-must-wait-under-local-restrictions\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">will not participate<\/a> until local guidelines permit small gatherings.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Sounders athletes were able to voluntarily begin individual training sessions the Tacoma-based apartment complex called The Boulders at Puget Sound will be <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/www.thenewstribune.com\/news\/coronavirus\/article243041506.html#storylink=cpy\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thenewstribune.com\/news\/coronavirus\/article243041506.html#storylink=cpy\" rel=\"nofollow\">issuing payments<\/a> directly to tenants as part of a lawsuit resolution.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">The company had issued eviction notices or other prohibited communications to around 1,400 tenants in violation of a state-wide eviction moratorium.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">14 tenants will have April rental fees forgiven or refunded, and nearly 247 thousand dollars will be divided amongst 1,441 tenants who received deceptive or harassing communications.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">The company is also barred from issuing eviction notices through at least July
