href=\"https:\/\/www.thenewstribune.com\/news\/coronavirus\/article242263786.html#storylink=mainstage_lead\" rel=\"nofollow\">construction projects<\/a> can now resume in the state, as long as physical distancing is adhered to, workers wear personal protective equipment, and operations are overseen by an onsite COVID-19 supervisor.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1 node\">\n<div class=\"li\">Individuals planning to file for unemployment benefits this weekend are <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/WashingtonESD\/photos\/a.198714200253072\/1904498016341340\/?type=3&amp;theater\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/WashingtonESD\/photos\/a.198714200253072\/1904498016341340\/?type=3&amp;theater\" rel=\"nofollow\">asked<\/a> only to do so if you&#8217;re in financial dire straits, to avoid overloading the online portal.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">1 million claims are expected to be submitted this weekend<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">Those submitting applications on Tuesday will still be paid retroactive to their unemployment date<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">First-time filers are encouraged to prepare by reviewing <a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/esd.wa.gov\/unemployment\/help\" href=\"https:\/\/esd.wa.gov\/unemployment\/help\" rel=\"nofollow\">esd.wa.gov\/unemployment<\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1 node\">\n<div class=\"li\">The governor has extended Washington&#8217;s state of emergency through May 9th.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">The state of emergency is different from stay-at-home orders, which at this time still only extend till May 4th.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level2\">\n<div class=\"li\">A state of emergency allows certain statutory waivers to be extended, all of which were approved by Washington&#8217;s legislature<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li
