The Pierce County Energy Assistance Program pays heating bills directly to utility companies for eligible applicants
- Payments are based on household fuel usage over the course of 12 months as well as household income

- Pierce County, the Tacoma Urban League, and the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle are offering a mortgage rescue grant that can offer up to 3 months of mortgage payments up to a max of $5,000 that go directly to the bank

- SNAP benefit recipients can increase their buying power this weekend at Tacoma’s Proctor Farmers Market and the Ruston Farmers market
