WASHINGTON STATE

Washington State is training new personnel for investigation and contact tracing, approximately split evenly between staff from the Department of Licensing and personnel from the National Guard. They will be deployed as needed throughout the state.

The Governor’s office has released more industry-specific guidelines for Phase 2 of the reopening plan. They focus on Real Estate and Fitness businesses. In addition to already stated requirements, Fitness organizations are limited to 5 trainees or less. More information can be found on the Governor’s website.

Seattle’s Seafair has been cancelled for 2020. People with tickets will be contacted about refunds.

Ten more counties have been authorized to enter Phase 2. Among the counties are nearby Thurston and Kitsap. Pierce county is not.

The County Health Department has lifted the sewage spill advisory for the Foss Waterway today. Samples collected on Monday indicated there is no longer a health concern.
